What's a game dev that doesn't make the gaming world a better place?

I like long walks on the bea… oh wait, wrong profile.
I’m Aj and I have written code since I was 14, believe me that was a long time ago. For my entire programming career I have written line of business code but I dreamed of creating a game. That dream stayed with me through the years and about two years ago I decided to do something about it. Well, I say “decided” but what I really mean is that I talked about creating a game but didn’t do anything about it. I would dig in for a week, maybe two, but ultimately not really commit to it. The longest learning streak I sustained was when I bought Master Unity By Building 6 Fully Featured Games From Scratch. I actually completed three of the games over two months. At that point I wanted to put what I learned into practice. I decided to clone an idle/incremental game called Realm Revolutions. Over the next few weeks I collected excuses like pokemon, gotta catch ’em all! I was more interested in playing the game than cloning it. So that didn’t work, now on to the next thing. I decided to create a blog where I would write about my game dev experiences.
Keep on questing!
